Dorothy Hodgkin Prize

Call for Nominations for 2007

Nominations are invited for the sixth award of this prize, which will be presented at the BCA Spring meeting in April 2007 at University of Canterbury.

Dorothy's contributions to crystallography are well known and it might be appropriate for the nominated lecturer to reflect upon some aspects of crystallography that have developed from Dorothy's work. In addition, next year will be the 25th BCA Spring Meeting, and to commemorate this anniversary it might also be appropriate for the lecturer to be able to link into the developments that have been made in crystallography over the last 25 years.

If you wish to nominate a candidate to give the Hodgkin Lecture I would be grateful if you would be kind enough to e-mail me your details and contact address, and the details and contact address for the person that you are nominating, together with a short paragraph outlining why the nominee is particularly appropriate to give the Hodgkin Lecture on the 25th Anniversary of the BCA. Please e-mail me at [email protected] with your nomination by Monday 15th May 2006.

All the nominees will be considered by the BCA Council Officers who will decide on the Hodgkin Lecturer for 2007 by a vote.

Thank you for your support and co-operation.

Yours sincerely

Paul Raithby
