Notice & Agenda for the BCA Annual General Meeting 1999


Notice

Notice is hereby given that
the Annual General Meeting of the British Crystallographic Association
will be held on
Friday 6 August 1999 at 1.00 p.m.
in the Boisdale room of the
Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, Glasgow

At this meeting we shall elect a Vice-President and a Secretary. The following nominations have been received:

For Vice-President:

Dr Frank Allen, proposed Prof. Guy Orpen, seconded Dr Pam Thomas

For Secretary:

Dr Hilary Muirhead, proposed Dr Frank Allen, seconded Dr Sandy Blake

There are two vacancies for Ordinary Members of Council. Dr C. C. Wilson and Mr D. G. Hart are not standing for re-election. One nomination has been received:

For Ordinary Member of Council:

Mr David Taylor, proposed Dr S. V. Norval, seconded Mrs K. M. Crennell

Nominations in writing should be sent to the Secretary to arrive before 16 July 1999. Nominations for any post require a proposer and seconder, and an indication or agreement in writing that the nominee has agreed to stand for the post. Nominee, proposer and seconder should all be current BCA members.
