Welcome to the Education Doorways page for crystallography, provided by the BCA
Given the education directive of the BCA we aim to provide information and learning material within these pages tailored to different interested parties. The information is broadly split into 3 areas; general interest/outreach, undergraduates and postgraduates, with further subdivisions thereafter. If you have problems with any of the content or wish to see particular topics highlighted please contact the Education Coordinator.
There are significant education resources already available on the www ranging from small apps written by individuals to full content online courses that can have university acreditation, you will find links to some of these pages here. It is not the aim of these pages to try and recreate this multitude of data, rather to make relevant information more accessible. In the longer term it is hoped that we will be able to provide a seperate area for early career lecturers with examples of lecture material and appropriate example questions for undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
The areas devoted to undergraduates and postgraduates are seperated broadly based on subject divisions, with information more pertinent to a specific area being highlighted. Additionally some of the BCA groups (linked at the top of the page) maintain seperate online resources that may be of interest.
